Our Story
ShipStream Data Border comes from the team behind ShipStream WMS, a warehouse management system built for high-volume fulfillment operations.
When Amazon introduced their Data Protection Policy (DPP) requirements for SP-API access, we watched our customers and partners struggle. Warehouses that had been printing Amazon shipping labels for years suddenly faced a choice: invest $60,000 or more in security audits and infrastructure, or stop using Amazon Buy Shipping entirely.
Most of these companies aren't technology firms. They're logistics operators. They run forklifts and pick lines, not penetration tests and SOC 2 audits. Asking them to build and maintain SP-API compliance infrastructure is like asking a restaurant to build its own power plant.
We had already passed Amazon's security audit for ShipStream WMS. We knew the requirements inside and out. So we built Data Border: a managed pipeline that sits between your systems and Amazon, handling all the security, compliance, and PII protection so you don't have to.
